About - The Delivery Playbook
You are responsible for delivery. You do not control most of what affects it.
That gap is where tech leaders live. The team’s velocity, the quality of what ships, the deadlines, the firefighting, and the morale. All of it lands on your desk. The decisions that shape those outcomes happened somewhere else. Sometimes years ago.
I write this newsletter for the people in that gap. Whether you are a tech lead, an engineering manager, a director, or running engineering for a whole company, the job has the same shape underneath the title. You own outcomes. You don’t own the system that produces them.
What you get
One issue a week, three parts.
One diagnosis. A delivery problem I have seen on the ground. Named, specific, with the pattern that creates it.
One countermeasure. What to actually do about it. Not a framework. A move.
One real case. How a team applied it. What worked, what didn’t, what they learned.
No theory dumps. No “10 habits of effective leaders.” No recycled LinkedIn wisdom.
Who I am
I am Jean-Luc COSSI. I have spent 15+ years fixing tech delivery problems for engineering teams. Startups, scale-ups, enterprises. I run LeanTechPro, where I help tech leaders diagnose why their teams are stuck and rebuild the system around them.
This newsletter is free. It is how I share what I see in the wild with people who can use it.
Who This is For
You run a team, or several. You are accountable for delivery. You know the dashboards say green when something is wrong, and red when it isn’t. You have read the books. The books did not name the thing you are seeing.
If you want frameworks dressed up as insight, this isn’t it. If you want a working diagnosis from someone who has been in the room, subscribe.
One diagnosis. One countermeasure. One real case. Every week.
